Panama City, August 22, 2025. - The National Ballet of Panama commemorates its 54th anniversary with a special season at the National Theater up to August 24, presenting production "Pinceladas del Rezo," a show that pays tribute to its artistic legacy and to the works that have marked the company's history.

Born in the 1970s under the supervision of the National Institute of Culture, the company found its official consolidation under the leadership of Maestro Jaime Ingram in 1974. Since that time, different generations of dancers have put their mark with passion and surrender, building step by step the prestige that today prides the National Ballet of Panama.

The director of the National Dance Company, Gloria Barrios, emphasized that they have been 54 years of generations that have contributed to our country's dance and that, thanks to that built path, today we have a cast of artists that continue to advance the National Ballet of Panama.

"Ballet's commitment and discipline but it's also a dream worth chasing. Public applause are our greatest reward and motivation to continue growing," said María Elvira Zachrisson, dancer of Panama's National Ballet.

"Pancleladas del Rezo" propose a tour of the classical and Neoclassical repertoire that has marked the company's trajectory, highlighting iconic pieces interpreted throughout time by great figures from the Panamanian ballet. Also, as part of this special season, the public will be able to enjoy a contemporary creation of the renowned Spanish choreographer Fernando Hurtado, who works directly with the dancers to premiere an original piece that brings freshness and new aesthetic looks to the repertoire.

The program brings together 36 dancers, who have been ready for months to offer a unique evening that combines classical, Neoclassical and contemporary ballet, reflecting the versatility and talent of the company.

The season "Pancleladas del Remembra" will be held until August 24 at the National Theater with functions at 7: 30 p.m.
