The Minister of Culture and Heritage of Ecuador, Romina Muñoz Procel, undertook an official visit to the City of the Arts, where she was welcomed by her Panamanian counterpart, María Eugenia Herrera. That meeting strengthens the links of regional cooperation in the cultural and artistic area between Panama and Ecuador.

Both ministers exchanged valuable public policy experiences for cultural promotion, artistic training and infrastructure management at the service of their countries's creative and heritage development.

The Ecuadorian delegation was able to get to know closely about the work of key institutions such as the National Ballet of Panama, currently in complete preparation for its next season with the classic The Lake of the CisnesThey also visited the National School of Theater, the National School of Music and the spaces where the lively activity of the Network of Orchestra and Youth Cores of Panama takes place.

The tour also included a visit to the Building of Plastic Arts as well as to the theatres and public spaces that make up this iconic cultural complex, thought to be one of the most ambitious projects in the country with regard to cultural development.

That official visit reaffirms the commitment of Panama and Ecuador to continue to promote artistic exchange, institutional strengthening and regional cooperation for the development of the cultural and heritage sector in Latin America.
