Panama, January 13, 2024.Twenty talented artisan, supported by the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura), became part of the cultural offer of the first Filling Moon of Tambores of 2025, under the theme "That's Panama." This free event brought together families to celebrate panamenity, fusing art, music and fun at the iconic amphitheater at Omar Recreative Park.

The event was attended by the Minister of Culture, María Eugenia Herrera, who was accompanied by his work team, Alfredo Hidrovo, artist, composer, multi-instrumentist, photographer and founder of Luna Plena de Tambores, families, tourists and the media.

As part of this celebration, the artisan assembled into a vibrant Crafts Market, where the attendees had the opportunity to admire and acquire unique pieces with care and dedicated care. The creations awoke the curiosity and interest of the visitors, who recognized their talent and creativity.

From MiCultura's National Handicraft Management, it was emphasized that "these events represent a great opportunity to familiarize them with the diversity of Panamanian artisan production. They are spaces where the community interacts with art, talent and creativity while promoting the work of our artisans, enabling them to offer them quality and full of meaning."

Andrea Lino, an artisan teacher from the Chagres region of Emberá, shared his experience: "To participate as a artisan teacher has been very enriching. That work has allowed me to grow as a woman, to live from products I sell, to teach children and at the same time to contribute to the rescue and preservation of our culture."

MiCultura, through the National Board of Crafts, continues to forge strategic alliances with different projects to visualize and enhance artisan work. These initiatives allow both national and foreign visitors to acquire beautiful pieces that capture the soul of Panama, ideals as memories or significant gifts.
