A delegation of fifty students, accompanied by teachers and administrators from the Educational Center for Diversified Arts, visited the City of the Arts with the aim of knowing its future headquarters.

During the visit, the students had an opportunity to share with the musicians of the string section of the National Symphony Orchestra at the Herbert De Castro auditorium, where they enjoyed a musical show with the presence of the First Lady of the Republic, Maricel Cohen de Mulino, and the Minister of Culture, María Eugenia Herrera.

The students also visited the Rogelio Sinan Library and explored other spaces of this iconic Casa de la Cultura.

Aaron Shocron, National Director with responsibility for artistic education at the Ministry of Culture, noted that, by next year, the pupils of the Diversified Educational Center are currently established in the City of the Arts.

For his part, Nicole Girón, a music student at this educational centre, expressed, "we are very pleased to have made this journey and soon come to our new home, the City of the Arts, where we can enhance our talent."

The Educational Center for Diversified Arts offers two specialities in baccalaureate: Plastic arts and Music. Plastic arts students specialise in disciplines such as drawing, painting, modeling and graphic design while Music's develop skills in music theory, ensemble, solpus and in performing instruments such as guitar, piano, singing, visual-metal and visual-wood.

Currently, the Educational Center for Diversified Arts is located in Ancón and has an enrollment of 193 students.

The delegation was accompanied by Aaron Shocron, national director with responsibility for artistic education, and María Rebecca de Vivar, an advisor to the Superior Office.
