The Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) announced at a press conference the details of Panama Flamenzo Festival, which will hold its tenth edition from October 7 to 10 at different locations in Panama City.
Anita Loynaz, an event producer, emphasized that "this festival was born in 2014 with the support of the INAC, today's Ministry of Culture, to promote and preserve Flemish art in Panama. Since that time, it has affected more than 24,000 people, taught more than 4,000 children and attested more than 2,000 dancers in North, Central and South America."
The festival will offer a variety of activities aimed at Flemish students and amateurs. Among them, free master's classes will be held on September 25 at the City of the Arts and at the Communal Board of San Francisco, coinciding with the re-opening of the Casa de la Cultura of San Sebastian.
Arianne Benedetti, Vice Minister of Culture, stated that "this event will serve to strengthen friendship and solidarity through art. To the Ministry of Culture, it's an honor to participate in this initiative that promotes artistic manifestations and intangible cultural heritage through Spanish dance, music and songs."
Special training for amateurs will also be offered on October 7 and 8 at the Anita Loynaz Center, aimed at those who seek to deepen their knowledge and experience with this discipline.
The festival will culminate with a main show entitled "FIESTA FlamENCA" on Thursday, October 10 at the Anayansi Theater. This year, it will have the star participation of "El Farru," one of the most outstanding dancers of Spanish flamenco, who will have his latest production, "Festizo Flamenca," with a cast of more than 10 artists, including guitarist, singer and percussionist. The renowned dailer Anita Loynaz will also join this celebration.
The conference was also attended by Guzmán Palacios, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Panama, Magali Ulloa, Senior Corporate Manager of Iberia and Jessica Schaw, Vice President of the World Bank's Marketing.
That festival is for Aid for Aids and tickets will be for sale at Panateckets. For more details about the 10th edition of the Panama Flamenco Festival, you can follow social networks: @ miculturapma, @ anitaloynazcenter and @ panamaflamencofestival.
