The Minister of Culture, María Eugenia Herrera, participated as a guest at the event entitled "Living and Sustainable Law: Cultural Tourism of Museums," organized by the Association of Company Executives (APEDE).

During her intervention, Minister Herrera emphasized the commitment of the Ministry of Culture to strengthening collaboration between the public sector, private enterprise, the Museums Network and the national guest centers. "It's vital to work together to place Panama as a vibrant destination with a historic wealth that we have to share with the world," she emphasized. He also emphasized the importance of joint initiatives that promote the sustainability of museums as living spaces that connect cultural heritage with tourism.

The event was attended by leading panelists, including María Lucía Alemán, executive director of the Museum of Contemporary Art, Javel Altamiranda, director of the Mola Museum, Víctor Cucalón, director of the Biomuseo, Julieta de Arango, director of the Old Panama Patronate and Adriana Sutu, president of the Museums Network.

The meeting addressed key issues such as sustainability studies, data collection, the role of museums in promoting tourism in Panama and the need to maintain high standards of quality in cultural offer. Panelists also discussed challenges and opportunities facing the sector in the short and long term, highlighting the central role of museums in the international identity and projection of the country.

That initiative reaffirms the strategic role of cultural tourism in the sustainable development of Panama, connecting the past with the present through experiences that enrich both visitors and Panamanian society.
