Maricel Cohen de Mulino, First Lady of the Republic of Panama, was invited by the Minister of Culture, María Eugenia Herrera, to the general essay of the first Gala "Unidad por la Danza," in which she thanked the dancers, teachers and directors for sharing their time, talent and experience of watching them dance.

The president's wife from Panama commended the artists and urged them to continue to work for art and culture: "I'm super proud of you, I love to watch them dance. I have here for anything you want, to push and support them."

The "Unite por la Danza" gala brings together about 73 stage dancers, both national and international, including the whole cast of Panama's National Ballet, professional dancers and emerging young talents.

Edgar Santamaria, dancer at Panama's National Ballet, mentioned "we need them to come to the School of Dance and to the educational centers of art, so that they can develop their talents, visualize their gifts and live from their passion."

He added, "we have to give more impetus to this type of activity, so that young people can see and follow this example we give them."

They also accompanied the First Lady Beatriz Carles de Arango, Minister of Social Development, directors of the First Lady's Office, artists and teachers.
