The collective sample of the Association of Plastic Artists attests to the diversity and depth of art in the nation, stated Gabriel González, Vice Minister of Culture at the opening of the Visual Art Exhibition in celebration of World Art Day 2024.

The activity is organized by the Association of Plastic Artists (APAP) and with the participation of 29 Panamanian artists and at the opening his deputy ministers González stated that "A unique expression that reflect the vision, emotions and experiences of its creators and through painting we explore our identity, question our reality and connect with the human soul. "

The exhibition will be open at Juan Manuel Cedeño gallery, until May 19, and includes 27 paintings and two sculptures by national artists with representation from all the provinces, whose technologies are acrylic, mixed, oil, linoleum, carving and sculpture.

Luis Rudas, president of the APAP, invited young artists to engage in this profession as "art isn't an exclusive activity of some social class, as it's a lucrative, commercial activity that we can use to increase family income."

For his part, Aneth Bárcenas, a plastic artist, said his "work represents family love, couple love and all those things that you discover in life through the partnership and transmit through my works the positive of life."

Tatiana Santos, with his work Flora Panama, expressed that "I love to highlight people's face. It's very important to put a visual message to our lives. I hope they will visit this exhibition as there are good artists in Panama."

The activity gave scrolls of recognition to artists from different disciplines and cultural managers for their tireless work and contribution to the Panamanian arts.

The artists involved are: Luis Rudas, Eva Carrillo, José Olivella, Peggy Arias, Linda Máquívar, Mónica Pérez, Ramón Irhythia, Grenal Membache, Benjamin Samudo, Alelí Salcedo, Arlette Mendieta, Raquel Samaniego, Margarita García, Vanessa Drusilla, Jacsiny Campos, Oliver Shelton, Adelcio Guainora, Tatiana Santos, Rubén Contreas, Annette Barcenas, Víctor Flores, Jairo Igualá Rafael Batista, Alsansandia and Jordra, José Retira, and Retira and Jordra.

Each year, April 15th, the Panamanian Association of Plastic Artists celebrates World Art Day, to appreciate and explain the work of national artists and to recognize the importance of different artistic disciplines in Panama coinciding with the birth of Leonardo Da Vinci.
