The writer Bertalicia Peralta Arosemena earned several literary awards and received the Rogelio Sinan Award, a distinction awarded by the Executive Board under the call and selection of the National Board of Writers and Writers (Coneyep), the Ministry of Education (Meduca) and the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura).

He responded to José Simpson, Minister of the Presidency, representing the President of the Republic, to put the medal into place for the Panamanian writer, with Giselle González Villarrué, Minister of Culture and Maruja Gorday of Villalobos, Minister of Education, who gave his scroll and his decision to credit her as the number 12 winner of this prize that has been awarded every two years since 2002.

Bertalicia Peralta "was selected for his human value, for his works that have been dedicated to his intimate history and his contributions to his children's literature and his figure as part of his Spanish-American literature and his writings have been translated into English, French, Italian, Russian, German and Portuguese."
