The National Symphony Orchestra held an emotional concert at the Santa María La Antigua Primada Cathedral at Casco Antiguo as part of the activities dedicated to Holy Week.

The Repertoire of sacra music, that's only the music born from the beginning of Christianity and that was composed of great musicians for the celebration of the Catholic rites, was widely accepted by the attendees who with applause responded with complacency to each interpretation.

The musical night that she also remembered, the Day of the Incarnation of Jesus in Mary's womb, was with the participation of the choir "Eternal Music," composed of music students with an performing practice of good musical level, who accompanied the Symphony Orchestra performing pieces by Martin Luthero and Samuel Scheidt, among others.

That fusion of voices and sounds delight the public that built up all the spaces of the Cathedral, with a capacity of 500 sitting people.

Besides others who, regardless of standing up, enjoyed the nearly two hours of concert and the seven pieces performed.

The repertoire also included pieces by Johann Sebastian Bach and compositions by Mozart.

That intervention forms part of the 2024 National Symphony season's agenda and offers free concerts at different locations with special guests with a view to promoting the interest of classical music.
