A Repertoire of Latin American music was offered by the Panama National Symphony Orchestra (OSN) under the direction of an international guest, Master Héctor Guzmán with the participation of the Panamanian oboist Juan Castillo.

Before a full house at the Balboa Theater, the public enjoyed performing pieces such as Obertura Cubana, Alma Llanera, mejorana Mesano, the Cumbancero, Huapango and others from Argentina, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Venezuela and Panama.

Master Héctor Guzmán, one of his generation's most distinguished and respected musicians, his leading director of the orchestras of Plano, Irving, San Angelo and Corpus Christi in the United States, congratulated the OSN for his 82-year-old anniversary and emphasized that this is his second opportunity to conduct the Panama Symphony.

To Guzmán it's clear that as the Pandemia passed, the public have begun to leave their homes and to enjoy these concerts again and argued that "our culture is very rich, cheerful and rhythmic and that's why we have been performing music tonight."

The OSN celebrates its 82-year existence of bringing culture and music to the Panamanian population with free concerts at the Balboa Theater.
