The project of conversion of the old building of the Abel Bravo College of Colón into a Cultural Center records a physical advance of 34% noted the Minister of Culture (MiCultura), Giselle González Villarrué during a tour to the work site.
The incumbent of Culture accompanied by his work team explained that this project will have a "cultural impact" for the colonese community and that while the work's scheduled to end at the end of next year, there's an advance to the work schedule and so it could be ready by the beginning of 2024.
The Cultural Center of Colón will have at its place spaces for folklore, crafts, music, dances, ballet, an auditarium and a library, among other cultural disciplines.
The project, one of President Laurentino Cortizo's challenges, is built with the budget of
MiCultura's investment amounting to 25 million dollars and an estimated construction area of 24,000 metres
