Malamagra theater presents Casco Queen

The artistic group "Malamaña Teatro" brings a new and amusing interactive theater proposal called "Casco Queen" that will lead to the public, not only to enjoy several interesting spots within the historic centre of Panama City but also to have fun with the aspirations of "Elena" who longes to be the plenipotentiary queen of the Casco Antiguo.
The stage of this play that will have as its stage the streets of Casco Antiguo come from the hand of Maritza Vernaza, who plays Elena and Arturo Wong Sagel, an author and director of the stage, who have a story that includes a carnelian tour in which you will get to know the quarter of San Felipe from the eyes and voice of his protagonist.

Malamaña Teatro () is an undertaking that has been awarded the "Crea in Panama" funds for the development of creative industries by the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) with the support of BID (Inter-American Development Bank) and City of Knowledge.

According to Maritza Vernaza, in the works of Malamaña Teatro, fiction and history are put their hands to show the city in a very special way. "In the case of Casco Queen it's a tour of memories and experiences of the inhabitants of the San Felipe neighborhood, it's a way to rescue the oral narrative and that part of the cultural heritage that's represented in the town's inhabitants."
