The possibility of exploring bilateral initiatives that resulted in cooperation agreements and a memorandum of understanding in the cultural area was the fundamental purpose of his visit to Panama by Spanish ambassador Guzmán Palacios, who was received by the Minister of Culture (MiCultura), Giselle González Villarrué.
The meeting covered issues such as the conduct of Workshop School at the Casco Antiguo, technical advice to strengthen the cultural and underwater heritage, a prefeasibility study for an Indigenous Peoples' Building Museum, technical assistance to re-convert activity and the creation of the Green Seal of Intangible Cultural Heritage, among others.
At the meeting, Minister González Villarrué expressed the interest that MiCultura be considered by the Spanish Technical Office for Cooperation (AECID) as a strategic partner for the implementation of joint projects and programs related to cultural rights, promotion of culture and strengthening governance with an inclusive, intercultural and gender approach.
The Spanish ambassador, Guzmán Palacios, described as "productive" his meeting with the Minister of Culture and some of his work team and noted that there are projects that are of common interest in cultural, heritage and training.
Special emphasis was put by his diplomat to mention the creation of a museum of history and another of indigenous communities with new technologies that Spain would be ready to offer.[EM1]
