To provide children with general information about their composers, their countries of origin, the musical instruments that make up the orchestra and thus extend its reference framework, the goal of the National Section of the Arts of the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura), at the third educational concert of the National Symphony Orchestra (OSN) and with the peptasite Pepina, an activity at the Balboa Theater.

That educational and fun activity involved more than 15 schools and about 9 million children from public and private schools, from the provinces of Panama, Panama West and San Miguelito, who listened with care to pieces of works by Mozart, Bethoveen and Rossini.

Damis Vásquez, cultural manager of The Arts of MiCultura and who plays the Payasita Pepina expressed "the chemistry among musicians and children has been instantaneous and very good, leading to concerts flowing naturally and the musical experience to be pleasant and unforgettable."

The children participate actively and even had an opportunity to lead the orchestra from their seats, added Vásquez.

At each presentation, the Pepina clown takes care of the dynamics, of narrating the tale Pedro and the Wolf and of spinning the musical themes amusing and hilarious.

When we get to the Balboa theater an exhibition of paintings and instruments welcomes children in the lobby, creating an artistic atmosphere for the little ones.

In its first phase this project aims to impact four thousand children at national level, announced Isabel Burgos, national director of the arts of MiCultura.

The next concert will be on September 23 at 9: 00 a.m. at the Balboa Theater and we are expected to reach the provinces of Colón and Panama West.
