A meeting between modern and classical, combining experience with the skills of new generations, was the result of the 16th "Sample of Panamanian Composers" that introduced the National Symphony Orchestra at the La Huaca Theater and that was part of its 2021 concert season.
The attending public was able to listen to the pieces of emerging composers such as Aesley Castillo, Luis Carlos Pérez, Víctor Villarreal and Ella Ponce, who have been preparing in different ways to improve their musical quality and gain a siege within the gallery of national musicians.
Also, under Ricardo Risco's leadership, about 40 musicians on stage performed pieces by renowned composers David Soley and Roque Cordero, the latter with a well-known global and international track record and by which MiCultura holds an annual contest on his behalf.
"They are trying to show the public how new they are being made at the level of musical composition with today's composers and how to rescue the music of the already dedicated composers, so tonight they will observe that balance. Also, that pieces will be released," emphasized Ricardo Risco, director with responsibility for the National Symphony Orchestra.
Risco highlighted for this concert the composers of the night as, the guitarist and graduate of the National Institute of Music, Víctor Villarreal, who every day has been improved in the art of composition and is increasingly developing that musical creativity.
Similarly, she referred to the percussionist Ella Pece, who currently forms an online master's degree in Spain, and also in the art of composition.
He also highlighted the pieces that were part of the program as that of David Solé, who published works at an international level. Also, his work was by Carlos Pérez, currently a teacher at the Danilo Pérez Foundation and currently holds a Roque Cordero prize.
Retiley Castillo, the minor of the composers of the sample, described him as a promise of composition, as he did from age 15 and currently at age 21 as a prodigy in the art of pentagram.
The manager advanced that every Thursday of October free concerts will be held and the audience will be invited to join them and to support this institution that this year reached 80 years of existence and dedicated itself as the most important orchestral entity in the country.
