Natah from The Knights headed for 500 years of Founding

In the framework of the celebration of the Bicentennial of the Independence of Panama of Spain, the people of Natah in the province of Coclé began to celebrate their 499 years of foundation with an Eucharist at the Basilica of Santiago Apostol that was officiated by Bishop Edgardo Cedeño Muñoz, Bishop of the Diocese of Penonomé with Father José Gil, parish priest of the Basilica.
The Minister of Culture and President of the National Commission of the Bicentennial of the Independence of Panama of Spain, Carlos Aguilar Navarro, emphasized in his statement that "once again, we hope that with the community we will have 500 years of history, where the homeland thank Natá de los Knights for all his anthropological, historic, scientific and cultural contributions from this point of view to the whole national territory."
During 2021 and 2022, MiCultura has been committed to the people of Natah through the Mayor's office of Natah of the Knights and the Basilica of Santiago Apostol to provide unrestricted support for the celebrations and activities commemorates these 500 years, stated the incumbent of MiCultura.
"Following the instruction of President Laurentino Cortizo Cohen and Vice-President José Gabriel Carrizo Jaén, these actions are aligned with the task of conquering the sixth border that is the fight against poverty and inequality by promoting initiatives enabling access to cultural rights, which for us are human rights," said Minister Aguilar Navarro.

The event was followed by local authorities, including the mayor of Natá, Tomas ArRocha Carrión, the governor of the province, Julio Palacios, and deputies and councilors, who with their assistants enjoyed the presentation of the Quintet de Viento Madera, of the National Symphony Orchestra that performed the piece "Pasillo Romina" by Eduardo Charpentier and of the Valdivieso of Edgardo Quintero, the latter with youth from Natá's Youth Orchestra of Los Knights.
