The Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) and the Association of Panama's Futocologists (AFUTPA) have signed an agreement for cultural cooperation with the aim of enabling the conduct of the National Literature Competition called "Luis Renteria."
This literary contest, open to all public, aims to highlight the sports issue, whether about the history of this sport in Panama or to highlight the trajectory of a personality linked to the football world.
The cooperation convention lays down, inter alia, that MiCultura will provide logistic support and technical cooperation required for the conduct and conduct of the activities of the competition.
The contest will be held in memory of the football player Luis Renteria who died as a result of Lupus's disease and his income will be dedicated to the Lupus Patients Foundation.
The incumbent of Culture, Carlos Aguilar Navarro, recognized the importance that through sport the cultural aspect will be furthered with a literary contest that promotes values while at the same time encouraging reading and writing by promoting "cultural rights" that are "human rights."
Meanwhile, Juan Ramón Solís, president of AFUTPA emphasized that the convention will be signed precisely on 6 May as the day of the football player in Panama.
Solís stated that the aim of the contest is to raise awareness and awareness about the condition of patients with Lupus and how best to get through the letters.
At the time of the signing of the Convention between Minister Aguilar Navarro and AFUTPA president, the outstanding national "Rojo" Gabriel "Gavilan" Gómez was an honor witness.
