Panama National Ballet Reforms to Stations

At an extraordinary evening, called "Gala de Estrellas," the most important dance grouping in the country. The National Ballet of Panama regains its face-to-face activities with a free presentation at the Balboa Theater filled with fantasy, muses, princes, music and beautiful pieces of classical world and modern dance and under all health measures, and with an extraordinary evening that was organized by the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) through its National Direction of the Arts.
After months of confinement as a result of the health crisis, Panamanian dancers prepared to finally meet with an enamored public for every stage and where danzarines performed masterpieces such as: "Raymonda pas de dix," "El Corsario pas de deux," "Los Vendimiadores de Giselle," "Esmeralda pas de deux," "Don Quijote pas de deux" and "Chulanegra" as a tribute to the dancer and educator Vielka Chelú.
"To return to face-to-face presentations, it's an act of faith and hope for the Ministry of Culture. In that trance we have been undergoing for the last 14 months, we have been reunited with the healing power of culture," emphasized Gabriel González, Vice Minister of Culture.
Gabriel González added that "in 2020, cultures and arts found a haven on the Internet, and our ballet was one of them, their members participated at 14 virtual events at both national and international level, as well as a sectionated manner worked with enthusiasm with" Solidarity Art, "performing small presentations and sharing the emotion that awakes dance with the thousands of volunteers at the Panama Solidarity Collection Center."
MiCultura adds this great day of ballet to the season of face-to-face concerts at the National Symphony Orchestra, which began on Wednesday 21 at the National Theater. Both presentations have been held with public limitation as have been recommended by the health authorities and where the attending public have been able to buy their tickets through the Eventbrite digital platform.
In this respect, Daniel Domínguez, national director of The Arts of MiCultura expressed his "great pleasure to come back after so long to our face-to-face activity, that's the essence and motivation of the arts professional and a satisfaction to see the audience enjoy this" star gala "and that we appreciate the high artistic and technical quality of the cast.
"Today's day is very important for us, because it marks the return of Panama's National Ballet that, since December 2019, has been unable to give its talent to the public, as a result of the pandemic, our dancers have been trained throughout this time and that's why this presentation is accompanied by all the wants to give its best to its public," said Gloria BarRios, executive director of Panama's National Ballet.
It have been 48 years since the creation of Panama's National Ballet, which has had an unstopped generational revamp and developed a continuous trajectory that contributes to the artistic work of the country.
