The Embassy of Israel, with an association with the Ministry of Culture, put forward a virtual photo show, "On the paths of Israel" by Guna photographer Lois Iglesias, who in 23 images attests to the living cultural and heritage wealth of the Asian country.
His Excellency Reda Mansour, an ambassador of Israel to Panama was greatly pleased with his beautiful work put forward to them by Lois Iglesias, who shows the essence of daily life and cities such as Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Haifa and Netania. It's the vision of an artist who did not only show the Guna culture but through the lens have been able to translate an important part of Israel into the world.
Lois Iglesias, born in the region Guna Yala, with a Sulegayan name his name means "nisgwa," and so thank that leading star that guides me to have met significant people throughout my life as a photographer who have allowed me to use my camera to show my appreciation for their cultures and expressions.
Carlos Aguilar Navarro, Minister of Culture, remarked "filled us with national pride, the initiative of the Brother People of Israel that today honor our country, with the Photographic Exhibition, of our esteemed and dear collaborator Lois Iglesias. It's an invitation to have an imaginary tour, to get to know the culture and wealth of this brother people."
Today, we are united with the art of a Panamanian on an Israeli ground! Through the photo lens, I capture an unrepeatable moment of daily life and his natural talent expresses his look at the world from his "sensitive and profound" cosmovision. His work and his art, Lois Iglesias, have filled with honors our Panama, and so I take the opportunity to thank him, his efforts and his dedication as a contributor to our Ministry of Culture and his recognition of his human and mystical values and his share, day to day by day with his art of photography, that is his gift, and his honor.
Lois Iglesias, for his part, explained that going out to walk his streets allowed me to appreciate his daily and his different colors of walls and walls that speak of centuries of existence and his fresh and living colors of his products to show his lives of soils that seem arid but are living kingdoms of the will of a people that have faced great challenges to safeguard his cultural wealth.
With great curiosity I walked with memories and references of an old tradition and with my lens I met his religiosity to his moments of prayer, to modernity amidst images of history and cinema, to the frank and smiling look of open arms hospitality, added the guna of the lens.
I reiterate to His Excellency Reda Mansour, the thank you of the Ministry of Culture and our partners, for this opportunity that offers us to delight the spirit with this Expression that once again seals the unity and friendship between our two nations, today established in the artistic expression of the photo of Lois Iglesias, who has united our nations.
