MiCultura and National Bar Association sign Cultural Cooperation Convention

The Ministry of Culture and the National Bar Association signed a Cultural Cooperation Convention with the aim of establishing and encouraging collaboration between them with a view to implementing, integrating and developing joint projects, programmes and complementary activities of mutual interest that promote and promote art, education and cultural rights and that contribute to the enrichment of national culture.

Carlos Aguilar Navarro, Minister of Culture, explained that through this legal instrument and with the support of the National Bar Association, we will be able to exchange experiences, documentation and information of interest to the parties, conduct training programs and provide advice to the ministry on issues of cultural law, intellectual property, registration of trademarks, production of contracts, legal aspects of the economy and creative industries, crafts and new entrepreneurs.

It will also be up to the Ministry of Culture to promote and conduct activities aimed at disseminating and encouraging cultural expressions, goods and services at national level, directly or with the cooperation and participation of public authorities or individuals and non-governmental organizations as they relate to the development of culture.

The convention was signed by Minister Aguilar Navarro and Juan Carlos Arauz, representing the National Bar Association, who reiterated his commitment to join efforts to conduct professional, academic, cultural, social and other activities with a view to promoting, maintaining and strengthening relations with national and international public and private associations and institutions and civil society.

The convention will conduct courses, seminars, conferences, meetings, workshops and other activities related to the areas of teaching, research, education, civil law, administrative law, art, culture and generally involving both the National Bar Association and officials of the Ministry.

Also, professional, academic, cultural, social, sports and other activities will be undertaken for the benefit of the National Bar Association, such as guided tours to museums, crafts and visual arts exhibitions, artistic and cultural workshops and so forth.
