Culminate Mast Filling Course of "Tun Tun Fairy"

The Ministry of Culture (MiCultura), as part of its actions with regard to education and training as part of the Plan Colmena strategies, held a masquerade production workshop with "Densan Tun Tun," benefiting 30 adults from different regions of the country, which was run through our addresses of Crafts and Artistics Education.

The workshop that was dictated by the colonial teacher Alexander Alarcón, had a duration of 4 weeks and was held virtual, as part of the cultural summer program and that this time was taken into account by the adult population.

The participants were trained in the main technologies for the production of these "Tun Tun Tun" masks characteristic of Colón's congoes, who used recycled materials with the aim of contributing to the environment and teaching through the three "R": reduce, recycle and reuse.

As part of its culmination, 18 participants had an opportunity through the National Museum Management to display their work at the Museum of Colonial Religious Art, which was accompanied by congo's dances and music, thus encouraging the visitors who admired these works of art as well as receiving their course completion certificates during the activity.

That training was undertaken with the aim of supporting entrepreneurs who through their talent and creativity can help to improve their family economy. According to Jaime Luna, one of the quakes will soon be announced and will be announced through the social networks of MiCultura.
