MiCultura meets with association of academic musicians

The Cultural Ministry's team met with a delegation from different organizations representing the national academic musicians to get to know the plans and projects that the institution conduct throughout the country.

At the meeting, the directors of the entity invited representatives of trade unions to participate in the work tables for the creation of the law of the artist as well as in the regulations of the general law of culture, currently being developed with other artistic and cultural sectors of the country.

The Minister Carlos Aguilar Navarro, who had been involved with the artists, described as a very positive approach that allowed us to get to know the concerns of the associations and at the same time an opportunity was opened to put forward an accountability report that highlighted the activities undertaken by the ministry during the last year.

Among the considerations put forward at the meeting was the figure of contestable funds as a viable alternative for financing aimed at benefiting both artists and their cultural expressions throughout the country.
