Bolivarian Medal Realizes The Efforts and Retirement to Work That Highlights Culture

Panama, April 23, 2026. - During an ordinary session of the Bolivarian Society of Panama, the Bicentennial Medal of the Anifictionic Congress of Panama was formally awarded to the Minister of Culture, María Eugenia Herrera.
The event was chaired by Dr. Carlos Guevara mann, president of the organization, who directed the ceremony to members of society and special guests. Minister Herrera expressed her gratitude for the distinction and remarked that the Anifictionic Congress, rather than a diplomatic meeting, was a Visionary attempt to transform independence, freedom and victory into an institution, freedom and a promise of peace among sovereign peoples.
) The distinction was awarded in coincidence with the commemoration of International Book Day and Spanish Language Day. During the session, it was emphasized that the goal of the event was to raise awareness among the international community about the historic trajectory, cultural wealth and use of Spanish in the world.
In this context, the Bolivarian Society of Panama noted the relevance of the date to recognize citizens who, through their management and work, contribute to strengthening and enriching their national cultural heritage.
) as part of the agenda, the Inter-American Commission of the Bicentennial submitted its progress reports related to the activities scheduled for the Bolivarian ephemeric. Also, the day includes an event of donation of bibliographic works by the Inter-American Institute for Agricultural Cooperation (IICA), material that will become part of the institution's documentary collection for consultation and study of history and regional development.
