MiCultura gives recognition to "Young Retirement 2020 Award"

The Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) gave the girl Cristina de Gracia, a member of the Aguadulce Music Module, an award for the "Young Retirement Award 2020" awarded by the Ibero-orchestras Juveniles Program, which was selected in November by an international jury that recognized his commitment to program values, his work spirit and his technical skills.
Cristina de Gracia, age 13, who's also a member of the National Youth Symphony Orchestra and a program with the National Network of Youth Orchestra and Chors of Panama, has been training in music since age four and for this contest she participated in the call virtual, performing a piece by Mozzart.
Gabriel González, Vice Minister of Culture, emphasized that we are very pleased to welcome Cristina, a young Panamanian with great talent, but I cannot listen to her I know what you do art with your music, addressing her and for us it's very important to watch that projects such as the Orchestra Network continue, as we are proud that young people as you get prizes.
Dino Nugent, national director of Panama's Network of Orchestra and Youth Choirs, stated that Cristina is one of the leading members of the Aguadulce orchestra and we wish to congratulate you for your constant accomplishment, and also congratulate your parents for their support for your music training and we reaffirm our support for this path to music.
The Young Interpret Award is one of the common projects developed by Iberorquestas Juveniles in 2020. Both participation and awards have been adapted to the situation generated by the global pandemic and have been largely developed virtual.
The importance of this award is to recognize the efforts of so many children and young people that they are performing in their training, and to learn a musical instrument as well as their families that are involved with this effort so that they participate in a contest and gain a success is a validation of that effort that the person that participated as his family and his community that embraces them at this time of triumph and happiness, Nugent added.
