Panama, April 8, 2026. The "Open Gates" day organized by Latidos del Barrio marked the official start of classes with an artistic and participatory program aimed at children, youth and adults. The event began with a musical activity that advanced the interaction of children, followed by a playful dynamic with the instructor Noé Castillo of the Cultural Rights and Citizenship with the proposal "Tan Cubo."

During the afternoon, the public enjoyed the presentation of the preschooler group of the Red de Coros and Orquestas Infantiles and Juveniles de Panama, as well as the dynamics of integration with a theatrical approach, developed by currently currently performing teachers. The program also included a musical presentation of the typical set of the School of Artistic Education by the collaborator and play Panamanian Colaquito Cortés and closed with the show of science and magic of "The Amazing Kalambroso," who shared with the children present.

"Latidos del Barrio" formally starts his classes this April, offering training in art, painting, folklore, music, dance and theater for people of all ages. The inscriptions are available through the profile of Instagram @ latidodosdelbarropma.

The space will also have cultural programming at weekends, becoming a platform for communities, cultural managers and emerging artists with the aim of visualizing local talent and strengthening spaces of expression.

The project forms part of an integrated initiative that links art and sport as tools for human and community development in different sectors of the city.

The Ministry of Culture invites the whole population to join this proposal, which aims to highlight the Metropolitan Cultural Centre as an open window for creativity, learning and cultural participation.
