MiCultura declares open call for national contest

The Ministry of Culture, through the National Direction of The Arts, invites writers, visual artists and musicians to participate in the calls for national competitions Ricardo Miró dedicated to the letters, the Roque Cordero with musical composition, the Roberto Lewis with visual arts, the Gustavo Batista Cedeño with young poetry and the Carlos Francisco Changmarín with children's and youth literature as established in the Official Gazette 29205 and 29210.
A number of Panamanian, older and naturalised and non-national nationals with a proven number of years of residence at national level may participate in these competitions and are established at each competition base.
The Roque Cordero awards his musical excellence in the categories of solo, symphony orchestra, chorus, symphony band and camera set. He calls upon his artists to send his musical pieces up to 9 July to dvasquez @ MiCultura.gob.pa
The Roberto Lewis will highlight the path of Panamanian plastic artists, Mario Calvit, Julio Zachrisson and Antonio Alvarado, will consist of five categories: digital art, photography, sculpture, painting and this year we will add the separate painting dedicated to the Bicentennial. Young poets up to 35 have their place at the national contest of Young Poetry Gustavo Batista Cedeño, whose call will be open till July 13th at 4: 00 p.m. To celebrate this year's Bicentennial of Panama's Independence of Spain, the topic of the poemary can be free or about this important historic event.
This year's figure will govern the National Prize for Children and Youth Literature, Carlos Francisco Changmarín and will close on 6 July till 4: 00 p.m. The authors interested in writing stories for boys and youth will have to send their texts to the post office. letters @ MiCultura.gob.pa
The highest prize for national literature is the Ricardo Miró Literature Competition that awards a unique prize at its five sessions: tale, essay, novel, theater and poetry. It will be open till June 30 at 4: 00 p.m. and texts will have to be sent to letters @ MiCultura.gob.pa
The contest of the Ministry of Culture promotes these times of a pandemic, that I wish to tell feelings and stories, because crises are temporary but creativity and ingenuity are permanent. The virtualization of these competitions are a sign of that capacity to modernize us through the impetus and consistency of these competitions that the National Section of the Arts organizes every year.
The bases for all these competitions organized by MiCultura are available at the website www.MiCultura.gob.pa, in the contest section. They all have excellent incentives to reward the creativity of our Panamanian artists.
