Panama City, March 29, 2026 - The program "Casco Antiguo Te Visits" brought the history and heritage of the historic architecture of the Casco Antiguo of Panama City to educational centers of communities such as Quebrada Loro, Camarón Arriba, Lajero, Quebrada Guabo, Hato Chamí and Llano Tugrí, where 459 children and youth participated actively in an unprecedented educational and artistic experience.

Through a participatory methodology, the initiative combined educational talks, thematic murals and painting workshops, enabling students to get a close understanding of the historic, religious, social and environmental wealth of Casco Antiguo while shaping their own vision of cultural heritage.

The programme aimed at decentralizing access to cultural knowledge and strengthening national identities in communities, with heritage as a key tool for citizen training and social development.

The sessions have also been held at educational establishments such as C.E.B.G. Hato Julí, C.E. Mironó, C.E.B.G. Guayabal, C.E.B.G. Cerro Mosquito and C.E.B.G. Cerro Puerco, where participants have been taught about his or her history and have been living an interactive experience that integrated art, education and culture.

"Casco Antiguo Te Visits" was part of the national cultural agenda, fulfilling the commitment to bring culture to every corner of the country and to connect new generations with their heritage in a dynamic, close and meaningful manner.
