Panama March 30, 2026.The National Symphony Orchestra of Panama announced the start of its 2026 season with a complete schedule of activities that strengthens its work in cultural development and access to symphony music throughout the country.

As part of its cultural access strategy, tickets will have a cost of 5 pat. The program will include more than 14 concerts in the City of the Arts, strengthening this space as one of the main scenarios of the season. Also, the Aurea Baby Torrijos Multifunctional Theater will be the new home of the Orchestra. There will also be presentations at Colón, Azuero Peninsula and the Christmas season that includes the province of Chiriquí.

The agenda also includes special presentations at important national stage, as a tribute to the renowned composer John Williams at the Anayansi Theater and several concerts at the iconic National Theater.
The artistic program will have the participation of well-known national and international directors. International guests include German Céspedes, César Leal and Natalia Stets. At national level, Ricardo Risco, who will assume as his leading director and Carlos Machado as his guest director.

As part of the impetus to emerging talent, we highlight the participation of the finalist of the Contest of Directors, whose presentation will be held on May 15, 2026.

The season will also bring together outstanding soloists. Nationals include Gerardo Pinto, Dante Batista, Juan Frías, Juan Manuel Frías, Francisco Rodriguez, Alanís Arauz, Arturo Rey and Francisco Delvecchio. At an international level, Shaohong Betty Yuan will have been involved.

The artistic proposal includes works from the international classical repertoire of composers such as Piotr Ilich Tchaikovsky and Igor Stravinsky, as well as contemporary and national production, and highlight the Sample of Panamanian Composers. Also, thematic and commemorative concerts will be held as part of national celebrations, with special summer and Christmas seasons for different audiences.
