Ministry of Education and Ministry of Culture ratify writer Ernesto Endara with Executive Decor Rogelio Sinan 2026
Panama City, March 20, 2026.The Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Culture report to the public that, while welcoming the designation by the National Board of Writers and Writers of Panama and, as required by Act 14 of 2001, we have to ratify the writer Ernesto Endara Estrada as worthy of Executive Decor Rogelio Sinan, 2026.
That decoration distinguishes a Panamanian intellectual from a well-known literary and human trajectory and that this year has been referred to as Don Ernesto Endara Estrada, a writer who has been outstanding for his journalistic, narrative, poetic, essayist and dramaturgic work that engulves the roots of history. Prolypic writer, titan of the Panamanian letters that have won the greatest award of Panamanian letters, the "National Prize for Literature Ricardo Miró," 18 times, whose work has contributed significantly to the development of the Panamanian literature and to the strengthening of its cultural diversity.
The authorities of both institutions noted that Executive Decoration Rogelio Sinan was one of the highest recognition given to national writers and that its award reaffirms the commitment of the Panamanian state to the promotion, valuation and preservation of letters and culture.
They also emphasized the importance of continuing to promote initiatives that recognize national talent and stimulate literary creation in all its forms.
The Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Culture reiterate their commitment to strengthening the cultural and literary sector, for the benefit of these and future generations.
