Fire will have their museum

To conduct projects as a whole to reflect the national history of the Benemérit Fire Corps of the Republic of Panama, Carlos Aguilar Navarro, Minister of Culture, held his first meeting with officials of this important entity with a view to creating a new museum.

Colonel Abdiel Solís, General Director of the Benemérit Retirement of Panama's Fire Corps, mentioned that this approach was to define the details to carry out a mutual work agreement that will allow us to gather our history, for the creation of this new museum that will reflect the legacy of fire fighters throughout the Republic. "

According to Anayansi Chichaca, National Director of Museums, this institution has many years of history to tell as it has evolved throughout the years and different facets to show.

"We are trying to select a space that will be accessible to people and that will be iconic for the Benemérit Fire Corps as well as for them to gain dual value as well as the content and recovery of these buildings."

The Benemérito FIRE of the Republic of Panama was established on 28 November 1887 and is an entity with public service with its responsibility for preventing, monitoring and extinguishing fires throughout the territory of the Republic of Panama.
