Panama, December 19, 2025. - The actoral talent of children from different schools throughout the country was put on stage at the Teatro Áurea "Beby" Torrijos de Ciudad de las Artes, thanks to the children's theater project "There was once..." with works inspired by Panamanian legends.

The deputy ministers of culture, Arianne Benedetti, explained that this celebration was organized in thank to the small actors and actresses that were put up at Omar Park during "Children's Day," exhibiting 12 plays performed by 110 boys and girls from 12 official schools, based on legends from the interior of the country and from the comarcas.

"We put out a legend or a story from each province and we put it into a short assembly of about 10 minutes with sound, stage and their dressings. That was a complete preparation for them to feel the process of assembly and development of what it's about to do a play, but after all this there are also several teachings, children get knowledge about the Panamanian stories that are already legends from our grandmothers," said deputy minister Benedetti.

Among the works presented was "The Legend of the Empolarized Women," which tells the story of the soul as a pity of an abandoned girlfriend who appears drunk men after the parties and seduces them and then transformed them into a skull that terrorizes them.

That was organized by the Ministry of Culture, in co-ordination with the First Lady's Office and the Mayor's Office of Panama, offering to the talents children gifts, recognitions and sweets, that they shared while they enjoyed theatrical works and moments of fun and learning about the stories told by our grandmothers.
