The children's talent at Chiriquí, Veraguas and Panama was highlighted at the 2025 "Expression of children for children," organized by the Ministry of Culture, that this year brought together 179 stories created by small writers from across the country.

The winners were Ellen Valeria Robles, from David's Bilingual Adventists School (Chiriquí) and Andrea Victoria Varga and Mariam Victoria Montilla, both from St. Vincent's College of Paul (Veraguas) and Ana Gabriela Ocando Matos from Brader School (Panama) and Yaniseth Atencio from Los Algarrobos School (Veraguas).

The Jury, formed by Annabel Miguelena, Tere Domínguez and Raisa Calderon, emphasized the imagination, originality and narrative sensitivities of the stories put forward.

The first place was for Ellen Valeria Robles with his tale "Echo de una mundo nuevo," presented under the pseudonym Galaxy Moon, for his metaphorical depth, creativity and a hopeful final. The second place got his "The Courage Pencil," by Andrea Victoria Varga, a story full of tenderness that converts school useful to characters with a voice and a purpose. The third place was for "Mavi, the half-chick," by Mariam Victoria Montilla, a story that transmits empathy and acceptance through a beastly character with a blue egg.

The Jury also awarded mentions of honor to Ana Gabriela Ocando Matos and Yaniseth Atencio for their quality and sensitivities.

The Ministry of Culture invites all children and youth to continue to participate in these literary competitions that promote reading and writing as tools to strengthen the creativity and cultural expression of Panamanian children.
