Panama, October 25, 2025. The Ministry of Culture, in co-ordination with the First Lady's Office, culminated in the City of the Arts with the participation of children and adolescents from the priority communities of San Joaquín (Pedregal), El Chorrillo, Santa Ana, San Felipe, Calidonia and Ciudad Esperanza (Arraiján).

For four consecutive Saturdays, participants enjoyed artistic workshops that included theater, plastic arts, music and dance, developing their creativity, identity and sense of belonging through art.

The closure was performed with an urban dance day, where children expressed their energy and joy by learning a collective choreography, a symbol of teamwork and the transformative force of culture.

These activities represent the first phase of Latidos del Barrio, that brings art and culture closer to communities as a preamble to what will soon be living in their community centers.

At the same time, community leaders continue with the Training Workshop of Formators, a process that will extend up to December 13 with the aim of strengthening their capabilities and making them multiplier agents of the program in their territories.

"These have been a bridge to connect with our community's children and to prove that art can transform lives. Each experience is a seed that will continue to grow with the commitment of our leaders," emphasized the team from the Latidos del Barrio program.

The City of the Arts, the headquarters of these experiences, plays its role as a space for meeting, creativity and human development and promotes from the Ministry of Culture access to artistic training as a tool for human and social development.

With this first phase, the First Lady's office and the Ministry of Culture work to strengthen the social fabric and bring culture closer to communities and to promote the active participation of children and youth and their local leaders.
