Roberto King receives Ibero-American recognition "Guillermo Heras" for his outstanding performance management

Panama, October 16, 2025 - Panamanian cultural manager Roberto Enrique King Maldonado, president of the Foundation for the Escenic and Audiovisual Arts (FAE), received tonight's "Recognition to Ibero-American Escenic Management Guillermo Heras," a distinction awarded by the Iberesque Program for the first time as part of the Ibero-American Year of Escenic Arts 2025.

The event was held at the Carmen Cedeño Auditorium of the City of the Arts with the presence of national and international authorities, representatives of cooperation agencies and outstanding professionals from the Ibero-American theater, dance and cultural management.

The recognition, with the name of Spanish playwright and manager Guillermo Heras, honors the trajectory of those who have been leading the development of performing arts as a space for creation, exchange and cultural strengthening in Ibero-America.

In this edition, the prize distinguishes the work of King Maldonado, whose management has been key to the projection of Panamanian theater in the region and to the creation of networks of collaboration between artists and producers.

During the ceremony, Enrique Varga, Coordinator of the Ibero-American Cultural Space of the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB), Javier Valenzuela, President of the Iberesco Programme and Rhenan Fernández, representative of Panama to the program. The evening included an audiovisual tribute to Guillermo Heras, a biographical video of his honor and concluded with the words of Gianni Bianchini, National Director of the Arts, who highlighted his recognition as a reflection of his contribution to the Ibero-American scene.

as part of the closure, the assistants moved to the Roque Cordero Auditorium to enjoy the monologue "I'm No Sissy," presented as part of the artistic program of the Ibero-American Year of the Academic Arts.
