Successful completion of PROFE 2020

Some 118 professionals successfully completed the Writer Training Program (PROFE) of the Ministry of Culture in the genres of poetry, novel, dramaturia, tale, essay and creative writing.

The National Publications Coordinator of MiCultura, Priscilla Delgado, noted that in these training sessions the students were able to strengthen their knowledge by learning technologies in different literary genres, and that they were encouraged to encourage them so that those with a literary vein can be put into writing with good methodological training.

The PROFE, with 64 hours and a combination of synchronous and asynchronous activities, was dictated by leading writers and teachers and winners of the Ricardo Miró National Literature Competition.

"The results have been very good and have been with 430 people since their start. From these workshops have been winners of literature competitions such as Ricardo Miró, Gustavo Batista Cedeño and Carlos Francisco Changmarín, as well as a play and poetry anthology that circulates in 9 countries and novel anthology with the participants of PROFE 2018," Delgado detailed.

The Writer Training program (PROFE) began with the genre tale in 2016, by Enrique Jaramillo Levy.

Due to demand for workshops, it was officially established in 2017, hoping to fulfill the commitment of the Ministry of Culture to offer high-value training in the four years that training had been conducted.
