Panama, July 12, 2025 -Under its ninth anniversary, the Panama National Network of Orquestas and Children's and Youth's Corks, an initiative of the Ministry of Culture with the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), presents a varied agenda of concerts, workshops and dialogues at the national level throughout July with the participation of more than a thousand children and youth.
Since its creation in 2016, the Network has had an impact on more than 8,000 students, promoting inclusion, artistic development and social cohesion through collective musical teaching.
Under the leadership of teacher Electra Castillo, she continues to expand with new modules and increased opportunities for Panamanian children and youth.
On July 12 we will celebrate the anniversary of the Network with a Gala at the National Theater. Colón will host a talk about tuning, instrument maintenance and a string workshop. That same day, the Panama Center module will offer a children's Coral concert at the National Library.
On July 13th, the second Anniversary Gala will be held with the Metropolitan Youth Chorus at the National Theater, while the Santiago module will offer a concert at Santiago Mall.
On July 19, the Panama East module will conduct an orchestral and coral concert at the Cultural House of Sector South.
For July 20, Aguadulce will hold an anniversary concert with musical initiation performances, choirs and a metal quintet at the St. John's Chapel of God.
The 26 July will include a number of activities: a talk about the intangible elements of the music at Colón, orchestral concerts at Eastern and Azuero Panama and an anniversary concert at the Orquesta de Pacora.
Closing the month, on July 31, the province of Chiriquí will hold an anniversary concert at David's La Basita Sport Center at 4: 00 p.m.
