They present training program for entrepreneurs from Creative Industries at Portobelo

Panama, November 26, 2020 -The Ministry of Culture submitted to the Portobelo Municipal Council a national training program for entrepreneurs from creative and cultural industries for the construction of a creative ecosystem of entrepreneurs from industry focused on crafts, gastronomy, music and dance.

The Director of Creative Economics of MiCultura, Maru Gálvez, detailed that the training program has a registration date up to 4 December and will start his training on 4 January next year.

"At its first phase, the students will conduct the training in a virtual way for a period of two weeks with a view to training themselves in different technologies, preparing and starting their cultural initiatives at this post-covet.19," she stated.

Once the first phase has been completed, people and trained entrepreneurs will be able to apply to the economic recovery programs and workshops of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Authority (AMSMEs), as they are: seed capital up to $2,000 or opportunity banking with loans and sensitive interests.

While in phase 2 entrepreneurs who can mount their sustainable business plans will also be able to participate in the accompaniment and mentoring program that will also be accompanied by direct assistance for new jobs from $5,000 and $10,000 for micro and medium and small businesses up to $15,000, Galvez explained.

Under this programme, the Ministry of Culture implements priority action N ° 94 and 95 of the National Government Plan that aims at promoting creative and cultural industries through initiatives that will assist the sustainable development of their communities.
