Poemaries by Javier Alvarado, first copies printed under the seal of MiCultura

Panama, 24 November 2020 -The poemaries "The Glow Pastor" and "Epopeya de las comarcas," by Panamanian writer Javier Alvarado, became the first literary publication of the Editorial Mariano Arosemena and the Impresta de La Nación, under the seal of the Ministry of Culture.

At a ceremony held at the office of the Minister of Culture, copies of these works have been given to the poet and have been referred to at the XXXIX Fernando Rielo World Mystical Poesy Award and his triumph at the II Spanish-American Poesy Prize in San Salvador, respectively.

In this respect, Minister Carlos Aguilar Navarro explained that the institution was greatly honored by this publication because "about a year ago we committed ourselves with the writer Alvarado to publish his two of his books, so today the team of the Publications Board of MiCultura, the Mariano Arosemena Editorial and the National Printing have been performing so that Panamanian people have access to these poems."

For his part, Javier Alvarado expressed his satisfaction and gratitude for his work's publication, as this action "emulates cultural policies that exist in other countries to get literature to reach not only writers but also to people with low resources and from different social strata."

Both titles will be available at The House of Writer at the Ministry of Culture, located at the Convent Santo Domingo (Arco Chato), 3 San Felipe street from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10a.m. to 6 p.m..
