Panama, May 8, 2025 - The Ministry of Culture has prepared a varied agenda of cultural activities during May, open to public and available at museums administered by the entity at national level. They include exhibitions, talks, workshops, lectures, historic tours, guided tours, dialogues and musical presentations.

The Portobelo Customs Museum, also known as the Afro-Spanish memory museum, presents the exhibition "The legacy of Portobelo," available until May 11 with free entrance.

The Regional Museum of Aguadulce Stella Sierra, also known as the Sal and Sugar Museum, houses the artistic exhibition Expo 4 Artes with works by Miguel Carrera, Néstor González, Rubén Dario Fajardo and Juan Flores, open up to 18 May.

The History Museum will offer lectures and drawing competitions while the Herrera Museum, also known as the Fabio Rodriguez Ríos Museum, located at Chitre, will have an exhibition "Chitrean Painters," complemented by guided tours and lectures.

At the Regional Museum of Veraguas you can enjoy the pictorial exhibition Ubarraga, by the Association of Plastic Artists chapter Veraguas, as well as dialogues about art and culture. At Penonomé a sample of local and local artists will be presented.

The El Caño Museum will offer workshops and talks under the title "Museums, Science and their Linkages in an Ongoing Society," dictated by Dr. Carlos Mayo.

The Museum of Nationality will have a photo exhibition and will conduct guided tours for schools in the province at La Villa de Los Santos, while the Belisario Porra Museum will offer guided tours for all public.

The Manuel F. Zápate Museum, located at Guarararé, Province of Los Santos, will feature "56 years of Viva History: Testimonios de una construcción con identima," by Manuel Córdoba and Miguel Vergara.

The Petroglypho El Nantito Archaeological Park, in the province of Chiriquí, will have a mural about the topic of Petroglyphs, accompanied by guided tours.

The Afro-Antillean Museum will offer a special workshop "Yoyo knits," focused on textile traditions.

The Museo Pausilipo, an old cottage of the illustrious Panamanian statesman Belisario Porra Barahona, will organize historic tours. Also at El Nantito you can appreciate a mural with guided tours.

The Ministry of Culture invites all citizens to participate in these activities, which seek to strengthen the link between the community and its cultural heritage and to promote art, history and national identity.
