Grand Concert in honor of the feminine talent

In commemoration of "International Women's Day," the Ministry of Culture offered a gala concert, run by the prestigious Ukrainian teacher Nataliia Stets, last March 28 at the Balboa Theater with a completely free entrance.
The evening paid tribute to his talent and emphasized Stets's leadership and his first visit to Panama.
The National Symphony Orchestra performed an outstanding repertoire, including works by Panamanian composer Ella Ponce, including Roads and 7 Haikus, and Beethoven's powerful Symphony No. 8.
The public enjoyed an unforgettable evening, with Beethoven's geniality merged with the innovation of Ponce, highlighting the richness of symphony and contemporary music.
The visit of teacher Stets enriched the public and affected the members of the National Symphony Orchestra, who participated in an intensive week of preparations under his direction. As part of his stay, she also gave a free orchestral leadership workshop at the City of the Arts, aimed at students and music professionals.
Information about guest teachers
Nataliia Stets (Ukraine): conductor and musical director of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine. He was trained at the National Academy of Music of Ukraine in Kiev, where he studied opera and symphony direction with Ihor Palkin, Alin Vlasenko and Svyatoslav Lytvynenko. In 2023, he earned his first prize at the International Research Competition for Città di Brescia - Giancarlo Facchini in Italy. He worked with several orchestras in Kiev, highlighting his role as an assistant and second director at the Kyiv Symphony Orchestra (2021).
La Isabel Ponce Uribe (Panama / Chile): outstanding percussionist, composer and pioneer of symphony and contemporary music in Panama. He was born in Santiago de Chile in 1972 but has developed much of his career in Panama, creating a musical bridge between both cultures. His work is characterized by a constant search for sonorous innovation in the symphony sphere.
The next concert of the National Symphony Orchestra will be held on April 15 with Baroque Music, under guest directors German Pinzzo (from Santiago) and soloist Gabija Laurinaityte (Flautista)
