Panama, March 10, 2025 - with enthusiasm and commitment, today March 10 marks the official start of the school year at the School of Diversified Arts in the City of the Arts with a solemn event of atoning the flag with honor to the homeland and his commitment to education.

That year was particularly significant as a result of the re-entry of the Fine Arts Schools into the Ministry of Culture, strengthening the development of artistic education in the country. That measure was intended to optimize the management of training programs for the arts and to guarantee better opportunities for students and to promote the development of the cultural sector.

The Minister of Culture, María Eugenia Herrera, emphasized in his welcoming speech the importance ofNational system of cultural and artistic education, noting that "this integration allows us to consolidate an educational model that prioritizes the teaching of the arts as a fundamental pillar of the social and cultural development of the country. Our commitment is to give students an environment where art and creativity are engines of transformation that contribute to the construction of a culture of peace”.

The civic event had with the participation of educational authorities, teachers, students and parents, who united at this significant event that reaffirms the values and importance of academic training. During the event, words of motivation and direction for the new educational cycle were outlined, highlighting challenges and opportunities that this year will bring to the educational community.

Retirement to class represents a crucial moment for the human and academic development of students, promoting learning, discipline and school co-existence. At this new stage, initiatives focused on educational quality, strengthening of infrastructure and the well-being of the student community will be strengthened.

The Schools of Fine Arts offer an extensive educational offer, including high schools in artistic disciplines and free courses of music, dance, theater and plastic arts. For this period, total enrolments are 5,180 in high school programs, reflecting an increasing interest in the artistic and cultural education of the country.

Professor Aristides Burgos, national director of artistic education at the Ministry of Culture emphasized the importance of these educational establishments for the training of young talents and mentioned that "The educational centers specialized in art play an important role in training youth. That year, we have seen a significant increase in enrollment, showing the interest and the need for spaces where students can develop their artistic skills with the support of the Ministry of Culture.”

The authorities call on students and teachers to take up this new period with enthusiasm, commitment and dedicated care, while emphasizing the importance of a joint effort to achieve academic success and strengthen the educational system.
