New talents shine at the Balboa Theater

The National School of Dance at the Ministry of Culture dazzled with its End of Course Gala, an event full of talent and emotions held at the Balboa Theater. At night, four young dancers graduated and earned their degree as a high tech in Classical Ballet and Modern Dance Orientation.
The event offered an unforgettable show, starring 180 children and youth, between the ages of 5 and 20, who have shown their skills in the specialities of classical ballet and modern dance. The impeccable performance of each presentation attested to the passion and commitment of these artists undergoing training.
The evening was attended by leading dance references in Panama, such as Guillermo Tribaldos, first national figure, master Andrés Nieto and personalities such as Ana Cela Smith, Leni Reyes, Gloria Barrios and Josefina Nicoletti. All of them, recognized pillars of dance art in the country, inspired with their legacy the students present.
In his message, Aaron Schocron, director of the National Direction of Artistic Education, motivated graduates and assistants with these words: "You will own the rhythm. You will come with applause and fall, dazzling success and tiring essays. But never forget that, as life itself, dance requires perseverance, passion and profound love for what we are."
Iguandili López, director of the National School of Dance, expressed: "I wish them every success. That they continue to dance and motivate new generations that have grown up. I deeply thank the parents for their constant support for the National School of Dance."
That gala reaffirms the commitment of the National School of Dance to the training of integral artists and with the impetus of dance as a cultural expression that enriches Panamanian society.
The registration for the National School of Dance, aimed at girls and boys from 5 to 10 years old, are open. The following are a good health certificate, two carpé-size photos and a copy of the child's card.
For girls and boys from 11 and beyond, hearings will be held during the third week of February 2025.
