The Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) and the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Authority (AMSMEs) signed a memorandum of understanding to integrate MiCultura into the Integrated Trial System (IST) for entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs in the Entrepreneurer's Space.

The agreement lays down the joint implementation of the Casa del Empresador - Space for Empresder project, which will be located in the building currently housed at the Centre for Art and Culture at Colón. That space will allow cultural entrepreneurs from the province to formalise their businesses.

It will be a training centre that will offer specialized programs and workshops in different areas of entrepreneurship with the aim of promoting growth, innovation, productivity and improving small businesses' profits.

At this place, technical and administrative advice will be provided to entrepreneurs from the creative economy, including support in areas such as corporate management, financing, specialized technical advice and access to a digital space that will facilitate the connection between entrepreneurs and their mentors. It will also have an area of co-work designed to promote collaboration and teamwork.

Another of the main aims of this convention is to implement a single window, necessary for entrepreneurs to meet the necessary requirements to formalise their businesses.

The agreement was signed by the Minister of Culture, Maruja Herrera, and the Director General of AMSMEs, Raúl Fernández, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Culture.

That initiative, as set out in Executive Decree No. 34 that established the SIT, aims at accelerating administrative processes and promoting cultural and corporate development in Panama.

The single processing window for MSMEs entrepreneurs is a commitment of the National Government with an aim to energize and activate entrepreneurial activity.
