The Panama National Ballet celebrates its 52 years with great novelties, with an emphasis on the participation of internationally renowned teachers and the opening of auditions for young artists as part of its recent presentation of the classic "La Bayadere," under the direction of Graciela Guillén, at the National Theater from August 22 to 25.

At his opening, the Minister of Culture, María Eugenia Herrera, emphasized the importance of strengthening the Panama National Dance Company by hiring leading teachers such as José Antonio Candia, Sasa Adamovic Petrovic and Marta González De La Cruz.

In this context, an opening of auditions was announced next September 7 at the City of the Arts, aimed at young people who aspire to be part of the National Ballet. "It's a unique opportunity for those who dream of integrating with a prestigious company and contributing to the development of the cultural scene of the country," she emphasized.

Graciela Guillén, director of the National Ballet, expressed his enthusiasm for the company's present and future. "It's an honor to conduct an institution with so much history and more, to see how new generations integrate with dedicated and talented," remarked Guillén.

The work "La Bayadere," set up in exotic India, is a story of love and sacrifice that has served as a platform for 50 applicants from different dance academies of the country to prove their potential, in a show that reflects the National Ballet's commitment to artistic excellence.
