The Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) with SERTV will start an advertising campaign to promote the forty-fourth version of the National Crafts Fair that will be held from June 19 to June 23 at the Atlapa Convention Center.

It's scheduled that about 400 artisan will display his jobs that will be appreciated by the event's attendees.

For the production of the promotional piece, MiCultura and SERTV chose the Mi Pueblite Tourist Center located on the slopes of Cerro Ancón to film the video that will serve as the campaign.

The Centro Mi Pueblito was selected with the contrast of the place with the colors of the costumes that are striking to the spectator and challenges the public to participate in this event that for this year aims to pay tribute to the artisans and their techniques in the manufacture of traditional costumes.

The campaign aims to highlight dressings such as naguas, molas, polleras from different regions of the country, the dressage of dirty devils, congoes and mirrors, among others.

The Ministry of Culture takes responsibility for the second consecutive year for organizing this activity that, according to 2023 figures, reached sales that were about a million dollars for sale, with this figure being a great contribution to the economy of the country, but especially benefitted more than 430 artisan who made excellent commercial connections.

"Last year, the fair was a success in every way, both in public assistance and sales as well as focusing on improving the condition of the artisans who participated in the fair, especially with regard to accommodation, and so as far as expectations for this year 2024 are concerned, it's to promote an experience that will provoke this custom of using local."
