Welcoming the closure of the First Vivo Center Forum, the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) organized a cultural day on April 24 at Independence Plaza as part of the strategies that are being undertaken to promote the value of the material and immaterial cultural heritage of the historic centre.

The first Forum, launched by the Casco Antiguo (OCA) office of MiCultura, brought together national and international experts from 22 to 24 April to discuss, discuss and share experiences about their efforts to revitalize their respective heritage sites.

To conclude this first version of the Forum, an agenda with cultural activations was scheduled and started with an artisan market where visitors could get a diversity of products, most of them inspired by our identity and native peoples.

Once the afternoon came, the Plaza de la Independencia was filled with joy with the presence of more than 150 children from the social programs of the Junta Communal de Santa Ana and from the Preventive Unit of the National police of the cordments of Curundú and El Chorrillo, who responded to the invitation of the OCA to enjoy inflatable games, candy and painting workshop.

The activity aimed at promoting creativity and innovation for the inclusive use of the city continued with the presentation at the stage of the association of the old age of San Miguelito, Sabino Durango, and the violinist Jian Barria, Andrés Suárez with his performance at the saxophone, the circus show of the Tribu Performance, were part of the artists who opened the artistic day.

A dramatization that moved those present to the colonial period prior to the attack of the pirates by the Acting Studio and the tropical music by the Vigencias Orchestra, first group of Panamanian women.

According to Yessenia Sánchez, director of the OCA this cultural day to close this first Vivo Center Forum aims to promote access to cultural life for people and users of the historic centre.
