MiCultura and Hayah Festival sign training and development agreement.

The Ministry of Culture and Hayah Festival signed a training and advocacy agreement to support Hayah International Cortometry Festival, Panama Film Lab and Hayah Connect project.

Hayah International Short films Festival is the region's oldest Central American short films festival and has been established as an annual date for new audiovisual directors and filmmakers to share their talent.

Carlos Aguilar Navarro, Minister of Culture, emphasized the importance of giving all support as an institution to initiatives through the Cinema Section that have been transformed into cultural events for the promotion of national and international short films that promote Panama as an important place in the industry of the region.

At this festival, its producers have been developing the Panama Film Lab, a forum for the development of projects, direction, production, financing, legal advice and distribution of works that aims to train filmmakers from Panama and Latin America to assist them with the development of their first audiovisual production and to make a leap from short film to feature, with the advice of international professional experts.

The Hayah Connect project also stands out as a new platform that will allow the public and the Nobel creators a number of digital resources such as master classes, concurrently and workshops that will connect with filmmakers and professional experts from the Ibero-American film and cultural area.
