Under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura), from April 17 to 20, 2024, the 10th edition will be held at the International Scenic Arts Festival (FAE) as an opportunity to offer training spaces, staging and outdoor presentations, among other activities.

According to the organizers, this opportunity will have the participation of artists from Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, France and Colombia, who will represent their companies and show their talent at different locations such as the National Theater, the City of Knowledge Ateneo, the Theater at Circle and the Plaza de la Independencia among others.

"Undoubtedly this version of the festival represents a new opportunity to re-meet and contribute to our country's cultural, social, tourist and economic activation, and we will share the talent and artistic work of each of the companies that honor us with their participation," said Cultural Minister Giselle González Villarrué.

The national jobs at FAE include "Aunt Sam" from actress Maritza Vernaza to be presented at the ACP Library and "Diario de un loco" from Abdiel Tapia, who will be at the Anita Villalaz Theater.

Also representing Panama, but in the discipline of dance will have Andrea González and Carla Lozano's "Horas" and "Bruta" pieces, both put into stage will have as an exhibition the Creative Space Foundation located in Santa Ana.

Also at this festival is the FAE Training Laboratory directed for the most part at the entire artistic ecosystem of performing arts, which will be held in the City of Las Artes and where there will be theater workshops, psychodramas, dance master classes and other themes.

González Villarrué reiterated the MiCultura's commitment to safeguard and promote culture by once again providing support to the FAE, "as events such as this have been able to enhance the international image of Panama as an important reference point for contemporary theater and dance.

To close the festival, on Saturday April 20 from 4: 00 p.m., an artistic and cultural afternoon with an artisan and gastronomic fair will be held free of charge at the Plaza de la Independencia and will feature "Peripecia: Travels with Luca" from Mexico and "Closed Magic World" from Brazil.

That festival, which also includes other partners such as the Iberescuela Programme, the Ministry of Social Development, National Bank, GECU at the University of Panama, City of Knowledge and McCann Panama, aims to contribute to improving the quality of the theater and contemporary dance of national artists through an exchange of experiences with their similar foreigners.
