With faith, devotion, customs and traditions about 226,000 visitors, both national and foreign, from Friday 22 to Sunday 31 March appreciated the different activities offered by the Casco Antiguo of Panama City on the occasion of Holy Week.

That cultural tourism experience was a result of the co-ordination of 19 institutions that were involved before, during and after the Special Week, and under a committee they have been co-ordinated to ensure the safety, traffic and pedestrian, as well as the care of squares, streets and sites of interest within Casco Antiguo, led by the office of Casco Antiguo (OCA) of the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura).

Visitors enjoyed other events as sacra music concerts, among them that of the National Symphony Orchestra at the Basilica Cathedral, as well as participating from the six processions, of which, two were premiered this year in the calendar with these being that of Palm Sunday with the image of the Burruquita and Holy Wednesday with the image of the Poor Christ.

Another success of this event, as provided by the Casco Antiguo's Committee of Churches, was that this year 39,997 more visitors increased by 2023, as well as two sacra music concerts with more than 500 attendees at each.

According to economic calculations, each of the about 226,000 people attending the area had an average consumption of B / .20.00, an estimated commercial movement that generated about B / 4.6 million benefiting established and entrepreneurial businesses.

Each year it is shown that the activities that have been designed for the celebration of the Highest Week at Casco Antiguo offer not only that experience of devotion for visitors but that they promote the union of volunteerism, the conservation of traditions and the artisan work that is reflected in the motif, flowers and costumes among others.
